Amber Hill Holdings (“Amber Hill”) has always taken Hong Kong as our root and dedicated ourselves to contribute the corporate social responsibility. Amber Hill has strived to perform the spirit of “Caring and honoring other elders when you are honoring yours; Raising and educating other children when you are raising yours”, dedicated to providing support and help the underprivileged in Hong Kong and Mainland China. The Smile Charity Foundation of Amber Hill has been concerned about the growth and health of teenagers in China since its establishment, while the critical epidemic situation in Hong Kong has raised Amber Hill’s concern about the health of elderly people recently. Therefore, Amber Hill have raised a campaign to donate 5,000 protective masks to the elders in Central and Western district in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong and China has been affected by coronavirus pneumonia (“COVID-19”) in recent months, there are already more than 100 confirmed cases in Hong Kong until now. With the continuing severe situation, there is a serious shortage of epidemic prevention materials in Hong Kong. Elderly people have become the high-risk infected group since their immunity level is lower than a normal adult. In view of this, in order to strengthen the protection for the elderly, Amber Hill has taken action swiftly to purchase the disposable medical masks in worldwide. Thanks for the promptly cooperation from various parties, the protective masks finally arrived in Hong Kong by the end of February. Amber Hill immediately contacted the institution in the Central and Western district to organize the event of free distribution of protective masks to the elderly in Sai Wan district, thus contributing some efforts to the epidemic prevention in Hong Kong.
On March 4, 2020, the Chairman of Amber Hill Holdings visited Sai Wan Estate in person and together with two staff, they handed over 5,000 medical protective masks to the elderly. The course of event was full of warmth and well in order, 5,000 masks were distributed smoothly within one hour. The elderly people have showed their grateful and touching heart to us, some elders also appreciated that the event was a gift from the snow by us. In view of this, Amber Hill is very encouraged and excited about the outcome of this campaign. This campaign not only builds the protection for the elderly, as well as strengthen the social epidemic prevention in Hong Kong. Amber Hill aims at contributing the happiness and warmth to every corner in Hong Kong and China to help more needy in the coming year.
