In view of the continued rampage of the coronavirus in Hong Kong, with new cases being confirmed every day, Amber Hill Holdings is taking action again by donating 10,000 protective masks to public transport drivers in Hong Kong, following the distribution of more than 5,000 masks to the elderly in the Central and Western and Tsuen Wan districts last week.
It is reported that due to the impact of the global pandemic, the public transport industry in Hong Kong is facing a huge shortage of face masks. Hong Kong's public transportation industry practitioners, especially cab and minibus drivers, are among the front line in the fight against the pandemic, as they shuttle through crowded places every day, receiving and transporting passengers from all directions, and insisting on providing travel services for all walks of life during special times. As a responsible and caring enterprise, Amber Hill Holdings is determined to stand at the front line of pandemic prevention and support frontline drivers to reduce the risk of infection, protect lives and safeguard public travel.
Adhering to the spirit of unity and helping with pandemic prevention in Hong Kong, Amber Hill Holdings Limited and the Smile Charity Foundation jointly cooperated with Target Insurance (Holdings)LTD.to take part in the free distribution of protective masks event organized by Rotary Club of New Territories. On March 9 & 10, 2020, the Chairman of Amber Hill Holdings Limited led the team to visit the public transportation hubs in Kowloon and Hong Kong Island, and distributed protective masks to taxi and minibus drivers in order to pay tribute to their professionalism. The drivers praised the volunteers from Amber Hill and told the volunteers that they felt a lot more relieved for no longer having to worry about the stock of masks.
As of today, Amber Hill has distributed more than 15,000 medical protective masks in Hong Kong.
