Love to help students, public welfare to build dreams. On April 22, 2021, representatives of Amber Hill Financial Holdings Limited, Smile Charity Foundation, U-hearts Foundation and Cihang Charity Association went to Wuzhou, Guangxi for a two-day charitable observation.
During the activity, accompanied by Wuzhou’s Committee for Caring for the Next Generation, the charity team went to Xincun Central Primary School, Mushuang Friendship Primary School, Junior High School and Cangwu Senior High School in Wuzhou, Guangxi, to thoroughly inspect and check the basic educational facilities and care for students in need.
In-depth on-site inspection and signing off donated projects
In the afternoon of April 22nd, the charity team came to Mushuang Junior High School, inspected the well donated by Smile Charity Foundation, and the dormitory building and playground running track, the latter of the two relate to a charitable project applied by the school to Smile Charity Foundation. On the afternoon of April 23rd, the charity team went to Xincun Central Primary School in Daye Town to inspect and accepted the completion of the new teaching building donated by Smile Charity Foundation. Seeing the gradual improvement of the basic educational facilities in the school, the charity team felt a sense of accomplishment and expressed how grateful they are to be able to contribute their part towards helping students to create a better learning environment and protect their dream to study.
Donate books to build the "bridge of knowledge"
In the afternoon of the 22nd, the charity team came to the Friendship Primary School, walked into the new school building donated by Smile Charity Foundation, and delivered some extra-curricular books to enrich the school’s library, so that students can have access to richer knowledge and pass on the positive energy of love and hard work. Through books, the team hopes to build a "bridge of knowledge" for the students, helping them to open the door to the world, to gain knowledge and strength, to cultivate a friendly and upward-looking heart, and to move forward towards their dreams.
Prizes are given to encourage excellence in students
The charity team participated in the 2021 scholarship awarding ceremony at the junior high school in Mu Shuang Township to give scholarships to students with good academic performance and in need of help. At the ceremony, the charity team also interacted enthusiastically with the students through games and face-to-face communication, and delivered the prepared gifts to them, encouraging them to be firm in their ideals, pursue excellence, and work hard to realize their dreams. The sponsored students said, "Thank you for your help and support, so that we can concentrate on our studies. We will live up to the expectations, study hard, repay the love with excellent results, and become a pillar of strength in the future."
Visit and communication: giving students love and warmth
The charity team visited the homes of some Mushuang Junior High School Scholarship winners and Cangwu Senior High School students who applied for the "Smile Scholarship" in 2020. They had in-depth communication and interaction with each other and had a detailed understanding of the students' study and life status as well as their families. The student said, "To be awarded the scholarship is not only a joy, but also a sense of responsibility. It is a kind of encouragement and great hope for us. We will work hard and appreciate every effort to equip ourselves with useful talent for society. We grow up being embraced by love, and when grown up we will embrace the world with love."
In addition to the charity team’s visit to Wuzhou, all staffs of the Greater China Region of Amber Hill Financial Holding are always concerned about the students, and during the preparation stage of the visit, they all donated their love, hoping to help students to solve practical difficulties and problems through their own strength, firmly believing that even though the light is small, it can illuminate a corner.
To help students is to build dreams, like the wind accumulating strength, it helps teenagers to spread out their wings, fly with the wind, to chase their dreams and run towards the foreseeable future. With public funding for education as one possible ideas for the future, starting from 2020, Smile Charity Foundation began to donate to schools in Guangxi, Jiangxi, Hunan and other areas which are in need of help and set up a special public welfare fund, consisted of money, supplies, volunteers, etc., to provide selfless help to these schools and students, and continue to focus on school construction and student learning, giving comprehensive care, and hoping that students can not just study but also to have a better support in their studies.
